A limit of time is fixed for you

Time is limited. Use every opportunity you get to see things as they are and be good.

The Roman emperor’s Meditations 2.4 hits on these simple Stoic themes, but there’s more to the passage.

2.4

Remember how long you have been putting off these things and how often you have received an opportunity from the Gods and yet you do not use it.

You must now perceive of what universe you are a part, of what administrator of the universe your existence is an outflow, and that a limit of time is fixed for you which if you do not use to clear away the clouds from your mind, it will go, and you will go, and it will never return.
